In addition to the 6 full-time (sabbatical) officers, there are 21 part-time and unpaid Executive Officers. They each have a specific portfolio; most of these positions can be held by any student, but some of the portfolios are reserved for graduate students, and some for women.

Together with the full-time (sabbatical) officers, the part-time Executive Officers sit on the Executive Committee of the Trustee Board. Likewise, as for the full-time Executive Officers, they must also attend meetings of OUSU Council so that they can report on their activities and be held to account by the student body.

Black & Minority Ethnic Students: Hilal Yazan

Works with the Vice President (Welfare and Equal Opportunities) to represent the interests of Black and Minority Ethnic Students to the OUSU Executive Committee and the University. Lobby for the interests of Black and Minority Ethnic Students in all areas of the student experience including (but not limited to) access, academic affairs and welfare. Supports the OUSU Campaign for Racial Awareness and Equality (CRAE) with its work. Liaises with BME and Anti-Racist student societies and groups within the University. Supports common room Ethnic Minorities Representatives (or equivalent) in their work and arrange regular meetings between them. Organises and co-ordinate events to celebrate Black History Month.

Clubs & Societies Support Officer: Eric LeGresley

Works with the President to support clubs and societies throughout the university. Maintains a mailing list of clubs and societies across the University, as completely as possible. Attend University Clubs Committee. Provides training and resources to clubs and societies as their needs dictate. Conducts a workshop at least once an academic year (and ideally once a term) on how to set up a student society and how to register with the Proctors.

Common Room Support Officer: Vacant

Maintains a central database of common room officers. Convenes regular meetings of the OUSU Representatives’ Committee. Creates resources for common room officers as their needs dictate; publish these resources on the OUSU website, updating when necessary. Provides information to common room OUSU Representatives and support their involvement in OUSU. Helps the President to publicise OUSU initiatives, including sending out emails. Acts as a member of the Executive Committee, taking on, or assisting with, tasks not easily fitting into other members’ job descriptions.

Community Outreach & Charities Officer: Yoni Stone

Works with the Vice President (Charities and Community) to provide administrative, campaigning and other support to RAG and the Living Wage Campaign. Helps build links between students and the wider community. Works with the Vice President (Charities and Community) to support on-going initiatives and deputise where necessary.Attends and contributes to the Student Community Partnership Group. Assists the RAG President and RAG Vice President, when requested, in building links with charity/RAG reps in common rooms across the University to provide information, resources and support to them. Works with The Oxford Hub to create and promote volunteering opportunities for students in the local community. Actively encourage student involvement in local charities and support groups.

Attends the University’s Environmental Panel with the Vice President (Charities and Community). Works closely with, and provide active support to, Environment and Ethics representatives in common rooms to enable coordination between common rooms and the sharing of best practice. Provides support for campaign groups and individuals interested in environmental, ethical and social justice campaigns and issues. Works to further the interests of social, environmental and ethical responsibility in OUSU, the Colleges and the University in accordance with OUSU policy guidelines and Council mandates.

Maintain and regularly update a database of rent information for all Oxford colleges. Works with the President to produce the 'Rent Support Pack' and distribute it to all Common Room Presidents and other common room officers involved in rent negotiations.Support the President in running training sessions to prepare common room Presidents and the relevant Common Room officers for rent negotiations. Supports students dealing with private accommodation by working with the Vice President (Welfare and Equal Opportunities) to produce the Living Out Guide and convene housing advice surgeries.
